Dust accumulates on surfaces very quickly - often wiping it off once a week is not enough. How to reduce its amount?
Follow the cleaning order
It should take place from top to bottom: first, wipe the highest located surfaces and gradually reach the floor. If you first vacuum and wash the floor, and then wipe the dust off the shelves, it will settle down and the floor will be dirty again.
Also, first change the bedding (a lot of dust accumulates on it) and towels, and only then dry off the dust.
Dry your laundry where it is easiest to dust off
Usually it is dried on the balcony there (provided that the order is in order), the dust is easier to wipe off, because less space and surfaces. If you install a tumble dryer in a large room or bedroom, then dust particles, respectively, will settle on upholstered furniture and the bed, from where it is not so easy to remove them.
Use a shoe sponge and polish
The sponge helps clean wood surfaces and reduces dust settling. Also, a special polish slows down its accumulation. The polish can be replaced with fabric softener diluted with water.Remove hard-to-reach places
Most often, we wipe the dust where it is most visible. But avoiding hard-to-reach places (uppermost shelves, floor under furniture, space behind washing machine, etc.), we create a large source of pollution there, from where dust then scatters throughout apartment.
