Marketers do not sleep - and come up with new ways to make you buy more in the store than you intend to.
1. "Fashion" lettering
"Non-GMO", "Diet", "Light", "Organic", "Natural", "Eco-friendly", "No Preservatives", etc. How to deny yourself a chocolate bar that is "sugar-free"? Or not buy vegetable oil without GMOs and cholesterol, which, in fact, could not be there?
All indications of the correctness and usefulness of the product make us make a choice in its favor, even if you were not going to buy it.
2. Dental Association Approved
Or the community of mothers, or the Ministry of Health, or the institute of health, or the host of a popular program - and I immediately want to take this particular product. After all, such inscriptions allegedly testify to its high quality. Not really.
Such tricks are often recruited to organizations that sound impressive but do not actually value products from supermarket shelves.
3. Promotions
At a reduced price, we are often ready to buy what we do not need at all, or in a much larger volume than required. If these are food, then there is a high probability that they will simply disappear.
4. Price tag error
If you brought a lot of goods to the checkout, then you are unlikely to keep track of what price breaks through on each of them. Accordingly, what you considered a profitable promotional purchase can get you at the regular price, if not more.Maybe they forgot to change the price tag, maybe the program doesn't work, but you won't argue about the price of apples if you have a full cart and it's your turn.
5. Plagiarized labels
Cheaper and lower quality products can mimic the labels and logos of the more famous and expensive ones. In a hurry and bustle, it is easy to overlook and take a stock item that will unpleasantly surprise you later.
