Liposuction has long become a fairly affordable and popular procedure - and therefore has become overgrown with myths.
1. Liposuction is done by lazy people without willpower
Alas, fat can be deposited in significant quantities in such "traps", from which even sports and diet will not leave. And excessive weight is a direct obstacle to playing sports, but at the same time it negatively affects the joints, the musculoskeletal and nervous system, the heart, etc.
Accordingly, in some cases, liposuction allows you to get rid of, for example, from the "apron belly", which will not go away by itself, but in others cases, it is a matter of maintaining health, since the standard process of losing weight is too slow, and harm to health is caused huge.
2. Fat will no longer appear at the liposuction site
This is only partly true: after the operation, scars appear on the tissues, which really prevent the fat from appearing in the same volumes. But if you grossly violate the diet, do not change your lifestyle, then everything will return to its previous state. But re-performing the operation in the same area is problematic.
3. Fat removal surgery is very traumatic
Of course, this is a rather gross intervention in the body - and it cannot pass without a trace, but the recovery process is always individual. As with any surgery or childbirth, some cannot stand for several weeks, while others run to work in three days. Now the method of "pumping" fat with the help of suction is becoming a thing of the past - it is really very traumatic and, by modern standards, simply barbaric. More gentle options are liposuction using vibration or ultrasound. The latter also helps to tighten the skin at the same time.
Rehabilitation after such types of liposuction takes about 7-10 days on average.
