Scale on the teapot is a very common problem that almost all hostesses face.
Soda
A versatile option that works great with both enamelled and electric kettles. To do this, you will need a tablespoon of baking soda and 500 ml of water. You can complete this task in two ways. Mix water and baking soda in a kettle and bring the solution to a boil. Then leave it on low heat for half an hour. After that, rinse off the remaining soda from the walls of the kettle and boil clean water in it. Drain the boiling water and rinse. Alternatively, you can boil a soda solution in an electric kettle and leave it to infuse for a couple of hours.
Vinegar
Vinegar is perfect for teapots made of plastic, glass or metal, which have accumulated a lot of old scale. Then you need to take 500 ml of water and one glass of 9% vinegar. Pour water into a kettle and boil. After that, pour in the vinegar. Leave the solution to infuse for about an hour. During this time, check the process periodically by opening the lid of the kettle. If the scale hasn't gone away by itself, then you need to separate it from the walls with a sponge and wash the kettle.Lemon acid
Take 500 ml of water and 1-2 tablespoons of citric acid. Look at the degree of contamination: one spoon will handle simple contamination easily, two more severe cases. To descale the kettle in this way, boil water in the kettle, and then pour citric acid into the boiling water. An hour or two after the water has cooled down, the scale will pass.
