Since ancient times, pregnancy has been associated with many signs and superstitions, but is it worth believing in them?

Probably, every mom at least once heard about the strict prohibition to attend church or temple during pregnancy.

Actually

A woman in a position can visit the temple, like everyone else. There is nothing wrong with that, representatives of Orthodoxy and Catholicism unanimously argue that there are no real restrictions for pregnant women.

Expectant mothers often think about going to church and praying, being in a position, because of uncertainty about the future.
The only factor that prohibits going to church may be the discomfort of the woman herself.

Where did the superstition about pregnant women in church come from?

Once upon a time, our ancestors believed that a pregnant woman should stay at home and not show herself to unfamiliar people. Allegedly, this could harm the baby or his mother. Since the church for many villagers was the only place where they met many strangers, it was precisely this prohibition for Ukrainian women in the position that was fixed in their minds.

In our time, this superstition has lost all relevance and has no real basis, you should not limit yourself.

If you feel the need to attend church, do so.
