Can I drink with meals?
Some people drink with food, others only after eating. Which one is right?
Olga Chekulaeva, nutritionist at the European Medical Center, spoke about recent scientific research on the use of water while eating or after.
Unfortunately, there is no consensus, scientists are still arguing, but they agree only on one thing, a person should feel comfortable while eating. If he feels thirsty, he certainly does not need to drink water only after the end of the meal.The nutritionist noted that it is important for the body to receive approximately the same amount of water throughout the day, for example, 100 ml every 2 hours.
Prohibitions and restrictions of such a plan only harm. There is no scientific basis for the harm of eating with water.
The specialist advised to focus on the amount of water you drink, make sure that there is at least 30 ml of liquid per 1 kg of body weight.
