Simply reducing your calories may not be enough and harmful. Here's why.

The secret of every weight loss is just one: you need to consume less caloriesthan you spend. However, it is important not to overdo it in reducing the calorie content of the diet - it certainly will not improve your figure and health.

Here are 5 signs you need to add calories to your menu.

1. Constant hunger

This is about real hunger, not the psychological habit of chewing cookies with coffee. At the beginning of the diet, hunger is common.

But if you feel dizzy and hungry faints, your stomach hurts from hunger, then you need to add calories. For example, a good portion of lean meat and vegetable salad.

2. Constipation

Small amounts of low calorie foods cause constipation. Poor bowel function leads to discomfort, bloating, pain, hemorrhoids, depressed mood - and therefore at risk of stopping the diet altogether.

In no case should the problem of constipation be solved with laxatives - this can cause addiction and the inability to empty the bowels without medication.

You need to cope with the help of a sufficient amount of fiber: leafy and seasonal vegetables, bran, cereals, dried fruits. The diet should be varied, including solid foods. Often constipation also speaks of an excess of protein in the body, if you have completely eliminated carbohydrates.

3. No strength to train

Even if you don't have energy for even a small workout, your body needs an additional source of strength.

Exercising on an empty stomach and exhausted can be hazardous to your health and threatens with loss of consciousness.

4. Weight doesn't go away

Of course, you can start starving and bring yourself to exhaustion. But this is a very bad plan for those who want to get in shape, look beautiful and youthful, and still stay healthy. In general, don't do that.

If there are too few calories in your diet, the body goes into a saving mode - it slows down the metabolism and tries to store every calorie eaten in fat. In this case, it is definitely not necessary to reduce the calorie content even lower and it is simply dangerous for health.

Interestingly, in order to shift weight loss, you just need to increase the calorie content of the diet at the expense of healthy foods: vegetables and lean meat.

Remember that extreme diets and excessive calorie reduction will not result in the stable and desired weight loss result. The body will get rid of water and muscle - and only last of all fat. And if, after such experiments, you break loose and start eating everything, then you will gain just fat, not muscle.

5. Frequent illnesses

Too strict a diet leads to a lack of vitamins and too much stress for the body.

In an exhausted state, he is more susceptible to the effects of microbes and negative environmental factors.
