Employers often believe that family and children prevent a woman from fully working - and this stereotype greatly inhibits her career growth. But how really?
1. Too much "self-digging"
Lonely people conduct most of their conversations with themselves, constantly analyze something, including themselves, their actions, their lives - in general, they are fixated on themselves. And there is little practical benefit from this.
Such self-examination becomes a constant invisible companion, which you don't even notice. And it, nevertheless, can lead to depression, neurosis, increased anxiety, panic attacks and other mental disorders, which, of course, will affect performance and career.
2. Inability to accept someone else's opinion, think about others
Even if you are already in a leadership position, you continue to work in a team, you also have partners, people who are above and below you on job ladder, etc. And with them, one way or another, you need to find a common language, which means that you respect others' opinions, accept and listen to him.
Family people are used to making compromises (at least the majority), because there is no other way in the family. But lonely people are so fixated on their opinion that no one wants to contact them and promote them in their work. They are less able to think about others, to pick up emotional signals.3. Workaholism
If there is no family and relationships in life, emptiness appears in their place. Everyone fills it with whatever they can, many become workaholics so as not to even have time to think about failures in other areas of life.
Workaholism leads to overwork, neuroses, nervous exhaustion and other problems. All this is obvious to others, and no one will promote such a workaholic in the service, they will rather be sent on vacation.
4. Lack of motivation
Of course, lonely people also have motivation to work - this is money, ambition, recognition, power, etc. Nevertheless, the euphoria from work in everyone periodically emanates from burnout. During such periods, a person desperately needs support and an additional portion of emotions and strength from those closest to him.
A partner, family, children give such a charge of positive emotions and motivation that it is difficult to obtain in any other way. You can spit on your career and quit when you're tired if you're single, but you will be the most motivated employee if you need to provide for the kids.
