How do you know if your pregnancy is okay if you don't feel any movement?
1. Do not pay attention to these descriptions of fetal movement like "butterfly flutters", "fish swam". So you will be constantly at a loss: is this already it or not yet? Just believe that when it is "it" - you will not confuse it with anything.
2. Do not take other people's timing of the beginning of the child's movement as a strict framework for yourself. Someone may say that at 13 weeks already felt the thrills, but you have not noticed yet at 22 weeks. This is not yet a reason to panic. You can do an ultrasound scan - on which the doctor will immediately see how the baby is there. There are just calm kids who push a little, and some do it at night, when mom finally lies quietly.
3. Do not be intimidated by the lull after the first shock. Did you feel a jolt - and then the baby "fell silent" for a day or two? This can be. In fact, he continues to push dozens of times, just very weakly, because he is still small. And you do not feel all these movements.4. From the 26th week until the end of labor, the baby should poke tangibly about 10 times in two hours. But again, remember that someone is more active in the morning, and someone closer to the night. It is important that there should be no more than 10 hours break between pushing.
Why can a child push a little?
- Breech presentation. The head is directed upwards, and therefore you do not feel the jolts of small heels on your ribs.
- Mom's smoking. Nicotine passes through the placenta, and a child's lack of mobility is even less of a problem that it causes.
- Mom's immobility. If you sit or lie in one position for a long time, then the child also stops moving.
- Sedatives. If you are taking sedative medications, they must be approved by your gynecologist.
- Deep sleep. You are asleep - and the child is just "walking", and you do not hear his jolts.
- Stress. If you are in a bad mood or feel bad, then the child calms down.
- What if the movements suddenly disappear?
- Eat, preferably something sweet, drink water. Take a walk, get some air. Turn on the music, put a flashlight on your stomach. Lie on your left side and stroke your stomach.
If all else fails and after frequent talks an unusual lull has come and does not go away - immediately consult a doctor, call an ambulance. There can be many medical reasons, and all of them require immediate attention.
Remember that half of women at least 2-3 times during pregnancy were worried that there were no tremors or weak. And in the vast majority of cases, everything ended well.
