In Ukraine, the minimum recommended amount of alimony is increased

Once every six months in the current year size payments per child in Ukraine will increase, this decision was made in the Ministry in connection with the increase in the living wage.

Payments for preschool children and children from six to eighteen years old will grow separately.

The first wave of increases has already taken place on January 1, 2020, with two more increases planned for July and December.

• From January 1, 2020, at least UAH 1,779 in alimony is provided for a child under 6 years old.

From July 1, the amount will increase to 1 859 UAH, and in December 2020, alimony for parents who do not raise their child will have to pay already 1 921 UAH.

• Now child support for children from 6 to 18 years old is 2,218 hryvnia.

In July, the amount of alimony will increase to UAH 2 318, and in December will reach the mark UAH 2 395
