Then add eggs and knead the dough. Sift flour, add baking powder and salt. Knead the dough and add dried fruits and zest to it, then knead everything again.

For cooking you will need:

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 g of a mixture of candied fruits, raisins and nuts
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 ml rum
  • 2 lemons (only the zest from them is needed)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tsp spices - nutmeg, ginger, vanilla
  • 1/5 tsp salt

How to cook? Candied fruits and nuts should be soaked in alcohol a day before making the cake. Combine 150 g sugar, spices, vanilla, lemon zest and salt.

Heat 150 g of butter to room temperature, you do not need to melt it. Whisk 100 ml of milk with eggs, mix another 100 ml with dry yeast, 2 tbsp. flour and 1 tbsp. Sahara. Put the dough in a warm place. Mix butter, sugar, spices, milk with eggs and dough, add 500 g of flour - knead the dough out of all this and leave it to rise for 2 hours.

Add candied fruits and nuts to the dough. Divide the whole dough into 2 pieces and form 2 loaves. When put on a baking sheet, let the dough steep for about 30 minutes.

You need to bake muffins for 60 minutes at a temperature of 160 degrees. Warm stollens need to be soaked in melted butter. When they are completely cool, you need to sprinkle the muffins with powdered sugar, wrap in parchment or foil and put in a cool place for several weeks.

Honey cake

For cooking you will need:

  • 400 g candied fruits
  • 350 g butter
  • 350 g sugar
  • 350 g flour
  • 200 g dark raisins
  • 200 g light raisins
  • 150 ml rum
  • 100 g dried cherries
  • 60 g almonds
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • a pinch of nutmeg and cloves
  • some butter to grease the muffins and molds
  • icing sugar for dusting

How to cook? Mix all dried fruits, fill with rum for at least a day (you can for a few days). Almonds need to be roasted and ground into flour. Beat the soft butter with a mixer. When it becomes lush, gradually add sugar, eggs, honey and vanilla. All this needs to be added without stopping whipping.

Sift flour, mix with baking powder and spices, gradually add a mixture of butter, sugar and honey, chopped almonds. Add dried fruits to the dough in several steps (you must first drain the alcohol, dry the fruits), mix.

Grease a baking dish with butter, dust a little with flour, fill 2/3 of the dough. You need to bake the cake in the oven at 150 degrees for about 1.5 hours. When the cake has cooled, you can remove it from the mold, sprinkle it with powdered sugar, wrap it in parchment or foil and put it in a cool place for a month.
