Celebrating Christmas: the recipe for the most delicious turkey

On the eve of Christmas, we decided to remember the specialties of the holiday.

Today we will share a recipe for baked turkeys with prunes for a big family feast. Write it down.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large turkey
  • 700 g prunes
  • 1 tbsp. rice,
  • 2 tbsp. l. sour cream (or 20 g of butter),
  • 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil,
  • salt to taste
  • spices to taste
  • greens for decoration

Cooking method:

Gut and clean the turkey. Rub inside and out with salt and spices. Put soaked prunes and stitches in the belly and goiter.

Tie the wings and fold them towards the back. Tie the legs in front. Spread the turkey with butter or sour cream and place the back side down on a greased baking sheet.

Put in an oven preheated to 220 degrees and bake, pouring the resulting juice over the turkey, until the meat becomes tender.

Serve the cooked turkey hot, garnish with fresh herbs. Place separately cooked rice, herbs, and fruits such as fresh grapes around the turkey.
