The most disgusting food for many of us is the one that we remember from childhood. Someone ran into her in a kindergarten, a school cafeteria or at a grandmother in the village. Unfortunately or fortunately, there was a lot of useful things in that very nasty food.

1. Semolina

If in kindergarten there was semolina for breakfast, then for many of us the day was ruined in the morning. Nasty lumps, yellow streaks from butter, and all this made me finish eating.

However! Semolina porridge is a healthy product. It even appears in the diet of people after gastrectomy (those. when the stomach is completely removed).

In the kindergarten, they made us porridge made from wheat semolina. Now in stores it is easy to find semolina from durum wheat varieties. It contains more protein and complex carbohydrates, which during the day will be spent on vigorous physical activity, and not turn into fats. In addition, complex carbohydrates do not raise blood sugar levels, which is very important for people with diabetes.

2. Fried / boiled onions

Many children carefully pick out onions from fried potatoes, soups and other dishes. Even in adulthood, some still read the composition on semi-finished products (e.g. frozen cutlets) and see onions there in second or third place - they refuse to buy.

Fried and boiled onions are unpleasant for them mainly because of their appearance or tactile sensations (slimy, sticks to teeth). And if the onion is required for the dish, then its opponents prefer not to cut it into small pieces, but grate the onion on a grater. For a long time, tearfully, but in the dish it will not be visible.

Jellied meat is also recognized by many as disgusting food. In aspic, the children carefully poked around, because they did not like cartilage in grandmother's jellies, the pork skin was almost hairy. And if there were chicken paws in the jellied meat, then even having matured, people still turn their nose from everything aspic.
