Add one ingredient to my coffee to stay energized during the day and forget about lip balm

I must say right away that I'm not such a big coffee connoisseur. I like to order nut raf in a cafe, cappuccino with banana syrup. But to be honest, it's too lazy to cook this at home. Therefore, I can calmly have breakfast and drink instant coffee.

About breakfast. I drink coffee only in the morning, I don't know why. This is most likely a matter of habit. I prefer the tea I drink during the day. But then recently I was drawn to experiments, and I decided to improve my usual morning coffee a little with one ingredient - coconut oil.

You've probably heard about armored coffee. If not, I'll tell you briefly: 2-3 years ago, he was very popular among Western showbiz stars, advanced biohackers and nutritionists. This is sugar-free coffee with butter. Sounds very strange, right? Initially, I was also skeptical about this.

There are even coffee shops in the west that specialize only in armored coffee. But since I am a big fan of coconut oil, I know almost all the scientifically proven benefits of it, I decided to experiment. Add cold-pressed coconut oil instead of butter. And in ordinary instant coffee, because such an experiment is closer to the "folk" one: not everyone likes to tinker with a Turk, not every second has a coffee machine or a French press. Many people just want to quickly boil a kettle in the morning and make a quick coffee.

Why drink coffee with coconut oil?

I have read many medical articles, as well as notes from popularizers of the keto diet (it was from them that I learned about such coffee) and Western athletes who do not accept the keto diet (and I agree with them in many ways), but added bronecofe to their diet.

I am sharing with you some facts. If you are not interested in this, you can skip and move on to the part whether it is worth drinking like this or not :-) But if suddenly you have there was a great desire to argue, then argue not with me, but with independent sources and meta-analyzes, to which I I refer.

1. Calorie-rich, but with it, fat burns better and you lose weight faster.

Coconut oil itself is high in calories. I recommend adding no more than 1 teaspoon to coffee. But! Coconut oil has a special fat structure - MCT (medium-chain triglycerides, translated from English - "medium-chain triglycerides"). These fats accelerate the metabolism of our body, and together with caffeine metabolism accelerates even faster. Roughly speaking, coconut oil is paradoxical: it contains a lot of fat, which helps burn more calories than on normal days.

2. Stimulates bowel function.

there is interesting researchthat caffeine and chlorogenic acids, which are found in coffee, are able to maintain a normal digestive system. As for coconut oil, in previous articles I mentioned its ability to perfectly polish the intestines and improve microflora. Here here a lot has been written about it.

Research is all in English, everyone has a Google translator in a mobile browser, cope with the study of primary sources.

Theory, scientific research, it's all good. But there is nothing better than practice and how the body will react to such "pumped coffee".

Personal opinion

Cooking is very simple: a teaspoon of instant coffee, a teaspoon of coconut oil (it is better not put in the refrigerator to make it easier to scoop), pour boiled water gradually, in three "call". Stir thoroughly at each of the three "runs" so that the oily film is not so noticeable on the lips.

Again, the method is for the lazy. To make coffee with coconut oil without a greasy film on the surface, people run the whole thing in a blender. But it seems to me that you will be tortured to wash it later.

The coffee is very aromatic, the coconut solo softly and loudly. The lips after him are a little oily, and the most interesting discovery for me - lips are moisturized during the day! This is a salvation for those who cannot wean themselves from lip balm.

On the first day there is no tangible surge of strength, but I will tell you for sure - satiety after a cup of such coffee comes quickly, and does not leave for a very long time (4 hours for sure). If you just can't get yourself used to having breakfast, and the morning starts with coffee, then it will be more useful to add a spoonful of coconut oil to it. and if you have a hearty breakfast, then with such coffee it is worth reducing the usual portion of breakfast a little :-)

After two weeks of daily use of a cup of coffee with coconut oil in the morning began to feel much more invigorated. Perhaps, good weather and other factors also played here. But it didn't get any worse :-) The weight did not increase, I even lost weight. But again: summer, heat, I really don't want to eat, as well as stay at home.
