Limited collection of Alina Zagitova and the Japanese brand Shiseido I have been waiting since the fall, when it was just announced. And so, in early March, the limit appeared in Russia, I almost immediately rushed to the client day Shiseido in the "Golden Apple", where I bought the entire collection with a 50% discount.
At first I doubted if I needed lipstick of this shade (I rarely wear red lipsticks), but competent Japanese marketers gave it a name Alina redand that was a blow below the belt. So in my hands was the complete collection Shiseidoonice!
They say that the creation of the Shiseido line was inspired by Alina's competitive programs this season, and I readily believe in that. So, lipstick ideally complements Alina's feminine image in a short program, and the colors of the shadows echo the royal dress of Cleopatra for a free program. Just take a look at the promo:
I'll start with lipstick ModernMattePowder in shade
AlinaRed, because as for me, this is the calling card of the collaboration. Unlike the standard black Shiseido lipsticks, this one is enclosed in a dark red matte metal case (to match the color of the contents). The lid is engraved with a camellia, the symbol of the brand.To be honest, in the bright electric light of the store, the lipstick seemed insanely crimson to me, but I still decided to take a chance. As a result, now this is one of my favorite reds, because on the lips the color reveals itself in a completely different way. From a distance, it seems darker than it really is. Lipstick very beautifully emphasizes the native texture of the lips, while the color does not look flat (although the texture of the lipstick is matte), but as if filled with volume.
It is quite persistent, but it will not survive a snack - only the outline will remain. So you have to tint your lips (but with such a case and texture it's just a pleasure).
Eyeshadow palette Essentialistturned out to be ambiguous. Yes, the shades are beautiful and non-trivial - shiny pink champagne, satin silver-greenish, khaki interspersed with gold sparkles and matte blue-gray. The name, by the way, was given in honor of the street on which the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 were to take place - FireStreetShadow.
The design is on top again - the palette is made of black plastic: matte lid, accent red stripe... I don't want to let go!
But I have questions about quality. So, one of the most beautiful shades (in the refill) - pink - practically does not transfer to the eyelid. Not with a brush, not with your fingers. In makeup, I usually apply it to the inner corner of my eye, where it merges happily with my native skin tone. I tried to apply it as a topper, but it didn't work either. Only a bunch of sparkles remains for memory.
I have no complaints about the quality of the other three shades, except that you first have to do eye makeup, and then apply tone. Because the shadows crumble a lot, including the darkest shade. That said, this is one of my favorites in the palette. I apply it all over the movable eyelid and it beautifully emphasizes the shape and color of the eyes.
I got this kind of makeup using all the shadows from the palette: I made the shading light green, applied brown-green on the movable eyelid, added blue-gray on top. Try to find a pink shade (it's there!).
I put all the shadows on the base, and although I have an overhanging eyelid (which loves to get greasy), the shadow persistence is quite good, after five to six hours they did not roll.
Here is such a complete image using shadows and lipstick I got. I am going to use the eyeshadow palette in everyday makeup, and if you need to go somewhere in the evening - voila, we take lipstick out of the purse and turn into fatal beauties.
Do you need this collection? If you are a fan of Alina, then yes (that's why I bought it and will use it with great pleasure). If you are a fan Shiseido - not sure. I would like to test another palette from the series Essentialist and compare with the limit. If you just liked the shades of shadows, I advise you to look for analogues on the market, since there is plenty of choice now.
