How to simplify eye makeup with drooping eyelids without blepharoplasty

Under the pictures of beautiful arrows on social networks, someone will write a joke that not everyone can understand: "the owners of the impending century left the chat". All jokes, but almost all of the step-by-step eye makeup instructions are useless for those with drooping eyelids. And now I'm talking about those whose eyelids skin touches the eyelashes, and mascara will also leave an imprint.

There are two options: either spit on it all and put up with it, or do blepharoplasty (expensive and you still need to find your doctor, there are also risks of this procedure). If someone is looking for a middle ground in this, i.e. I want to paint the arrows, but without drastic measures with operations - silicone strips to help.

Many owners of the impending century have heard about them. But as usual: some categorically declare that the next advertising move, others use them and are satisfied with the result, others cannot apply shadows so that the stripes are not noticeable.

You should take silicone strips for lifting the eyelids. They are safe, non-allergenic and easier to apply makeup. Even if you have oily skin, the stripes on the eyelid will last longer than the eyeshadow.

Most of the brands that make strips are made in Europe and are dermatologically approved (they have everything strictly with their compositions). Buy inexpensive strips on Ali at your own peril and risk, I can't say anything about them.

Strips come in different shapes (from very thin to the width of a fingertip), for any shape of the eye and tasks: to hide the symptoms of fatigue, to visually increase the size of the eyes. Wide stripes are suitable for women over 50, who can no longer do their makeup neatly due to lowered vision.

Before using the strips, the skin must be degreased, an alcohol-based toner or face lotion is suitable, you can use micellar water. Hydrophilic oil will not work. Degreasing is a must if you are not going to wear strips for an hour or two.

Peel off the strips from the packaging gently with tweezers to correct the eyebrows, start from the edge. Make sure that the strip does not stick to itself, then do not unstuck it.

Apply under the natural crease of the eye, press the flat end of the tweezers onto the strip so that it adheres well to the skin. With your fingers, gently press on the ends of the strip, hold for 5-10 seconds and you can do makeup.

We all have different eyelids, so don't be discouraged if you didn't get it on the first time. Remember that one strip will be enough for multiple uses, depending on your skin type. One strip is enough for two uses at least.

As for the makeup and the difficulty of hiding the stripes. Check out the photo below. For some reason, I'm sure that if you didn't know that the article mentions stripes, you would not have noticed them.

Stripes in makeup are noticed by those who use them :-) In real life, hardly anyone will replace them if you blink.

If you are very complex about this, then forget about the shadows and draw arrows. The stripes are transparent, they are almost invisible on the skin and without shadows. And you can finally draw a beautiful arrow that the eyelid will not completely close.

For brands, take a look at LiftSecret or MAGICSTRIPES. The latter are more expensive, but come in several forms, from a thin strip to a wide one. Regarding the scotch tape for correcting the impending century, I can say the following: if you need to take a beautiful photo - use it for health, scotch tape is several times cheaper. But for long-term wear it is a very dubious thing: it is more noticeable than silicone strips, and nothing is known about the composition of the glue, there were cases when after them the skin around the eyes was irritated.
