I have been doing manicure with gel polish without stopping for more than one year. My master does his job perfectly and I have never had any problems with my nails. It was with the gel polish that I managed to grow the desired length, for a while I went with the long ones, then I started to get fanatical about the short and neat ones. At first I wanted a design, although I never had nails a la Valery Leontyev's concert costume, after all, it's not about me so expensively. I quickly switched to a monochromatic manicure, having played enough with the design in 2-3 months.
But over time, I began to make more and more a light, almost transparent coating, I passionately loved the camouflage base. Of course, sometimes I shot my favorite red manicure, but more often than not there was something completely inconspicuous on the nails. I began to think that I wanted to walk without cover at all. But each time I continued to do it, for some reason I was somehow scared to refuse.
The quarantine, or rather the self-isolation regime, helped, I took off the gel polish myself (oh, with the reinforced concrete coating of my master Maria, it was another test) and realized that I really like the look of bare nails. Just a thrill! I have been without gel polish for almost 2 months and I know for sure that I will definitely give myself such months without coating, I have found so many advantages.
Save time
Started! - you tell. At first, everyone described the time savings with gel polish, they say, I did it for 3-4 weeks, and I forgot. Yes it is. But it is logical that walking without cover at all is even more economical. Previously, it was necessary to allocate half a day for this, and as luck would have it, it is the week when the manicure needs correction that is the busiest. The law of meanness in its glory. I wasted time on the road, because after the move I did not want to change the master, plus the time for the procedure itself.
Now I don't have to think about how to squeeze a manicure into my schedule. I just file my nails in between times, and the cuticles with good nutrition can easily be pulled back. Well, in general, the field of opening manicure rooms, I just want to go for a manicure without coverage.
Saving money
I have not been doing a manicure for only 2 months and have not yet managed to get rich, in total I have saved about 4 trips to the master, given that I could not decide to take them off for a long time. But if you count, it turns out very well. The average price tag in my city for a one-color manicure is 1000-1500 rubles, for 4 trips 4000-6000 rubles runs up.
But then I remembered a life joke about the fact that if you quit smoking, you can save smartly for a year and spend that money on a great vacation by the sea. I don't smoke, where is my sea?
No growing edge
My nails grow at an average rate, but after 2 weeks they grew back decently and I didn't like it anymore. I need everything to be as neat and tidy as possible, about growing nails I have a whole fad in my head. Better no gel polish than badly regrown. Many of my friends can easily walk for 4 weeks, but I am categorical in this matter. Raise your hand, who is like me)
It is expensive to do a manicure once every 2 weeks, of course, I made it to 3, but the last week I wanted to look at my nails less and less.
A little about fashion. The trend towards naturalness is doing its job, more and more fashionistas are beginning to simply abandon gel polish manicure and do not hesitate to walk with natural nails. In general, this is a completely logical trend, for many years gel polish ruled the ball and just got tired of it.
Do you make gel polish or do you prefer naturalness? Or maybe you paint with ordinary varnish, share in the comments!
