I am more than calm about the seller's question: "Can I help you?" I thank you politely and say that if you need help, I will definitely contact you. I do not mutter under my breath, but is as polite and friendly as possible. But firm. But many are annoyed by this question, they take it for obsession. Further, sometimes the seller offers to pay attention to current promotions, talking about them. If I'm interested, I'll listen. If not, I will not waste my time even because of politeness, just let me know that I'm not interested.
Here you need to understand that this is part of their job, the seller is obliged to show interest in you and offer help. This is not at all a reason to be annoyed. Believe me, there are enough of them (kind, yes).
Are on their heels
And here I am already straining. I don't like it when they breathe down my back. Over time, I got used to it and stopped responding, because I walk often. But the first time I felt constrained, uncomfortable and out of place. Until now, in some stores, as soon as I go to the hangers, a consultant flies up and begins to tell them that they have a new collection here, or a beautiful coat, or the best handbags.
In this case, I either nod or thank and say that I am more comfortable watching everything myself. And after my words that I am not aimed at buying, but came to take a closer look, they are blown away like a wind. Use, do not thank.
By the way, I noticed that many are embarrassed to say that they just came to see or that the thing is expensive for them. I have absolutely no complexities on these occasions, and I advise you!
Look down
There is one store in my city, I will not say the name, where the sellers look down and talk down. I read that there are stores with such an internal policy, the point is that the buyer wants to prove that he can buy something here by making a purchase. And I know for sure that in some stores they are greeted by clothes. This is how Letual, for example, sin, if you go there as a homeless person, the quality of service may suffer.
It would not even occur to me to prove something to someone, I absolutely do not care what the seller thinks there. I can come to the store at the parade, and with a bundle in old jeans and shabby, but so beloved, sneakers, and I will be equally comfortable.
Are actively offering something at the checkout
- And we have men's socks for 99 rubles, would you like? - Thank you, I only have a cat and pizza at night. - Women's panties for 300? - If I buy such underpants, I don't need to live my whole life with a cat, thank you.
Sellers are obliged to offer and sometimes it is so intrusive that you just want to mutter. At first I catch a wave of irritation, then I feel sorry for the seller. They probably have nightmares themselves with 99 men's socks. Eh, well, anyway, sometimes they are too intrusive. Do not do like this!
