Perfume snobs treat such fragrances with a degree of disdain and call them pop, because they were massive and overly popular in their time. They are compared to compote, air freshener, soap or rose water. This is how she is - perfumery pop, which, nevertheless, becomes a favorite for someone, remaining so for years.
I have been using these five fragrances for 15 years, each for its own season. And thus I cause bewilderment to my friends and colleagues, who have long since almost completely and completely switched to a "niche" - luxurious, expensive, unattainable for someone.
1. Be Delicious (DKNY)
This "green apple", which marked the beginning of numerous sweet-apple flankers, is compared by many to an overpriced air freshener. And I still won't leave him. I understand that the aroma is very simple, even primitive, and its composition is like a plate of a woman on a diet with his apple, cucumber and grapefruit...
I bought it at the end of March, when winter passed into spring, when everything around me melted and then crunched with frost again. I associate it precisely with the time in which it fits perfectly with its fresh crunch.
2. London (Burberry)
My white-flower love, which for some causes a persistent headache, for others, associations with a London garden after the rain. These white flowers are really not for everybody, like any dominant jasmine that smells like soap to some.
The main thing with this aroma is not to overdo it, and then it will open up beautifully, especially on a cool autumn or spring rainy day. But it is not at all for winter, not for summer and not for damp heat. Better - for the fall.
3. Rumeur2 Rose (Lanvin)
After testing the first Rumeur, which sprinkles with unbearable musk, I thought that I would never again approach a bottle with this inscription in my life. But after the release of the pink scent in a pink bottle, I changed my mind.
Rumeur 2 Rose is an unpretentious perfume rose with citrus, sour and fresh water, in which first the juice of lemon, orange, grapefruit, bergamot was dissolved, and pink petals. A universal summer perfume for a hot day.
4. Euphoria (Calvin Klein)
With this scent, there was love from the first breath. I met him on the advertising page of Cosmopolitan magazine with Natalia Vodianova. It was the very scent that is called the notorious "expensive perfume of a luxurious woman", and this composition just turned my head.
At that time, Euphoria was objectively inaccessible to me due to the high price, but I left all the money that had remained at that time in L'Etoile. Today, despite the fact that for almost 15 years there have been a lot of flankers, I do not accept any "Euphoria" except for the original, smelling of pomegranate, orchid and mahogany. For me it is the perfect perfume for winter.
5. Insolence (Guerlain)
I hate neither berry nor strongly sweet aromas, but Guerlain managed to create a beautiful and expensive scent with raspberries and red berries, which they dusted with iris and violet.
For me, it is not at all sweet, but powdery, not primitive sweet-compote. Insolence for me is a fragrance for spring, when everything blooms and smells. And in 2006-2007, it seems, all of Moscow smelled like it.
