Changing the style, to which we have long been accustomed, is always difficult. And the older we are, the more difficult it is for us to abandon the old clothes and familiar images. It is even more difficult for women in adulthood, but it is even more interesting when these women are ready for changes and are looking forward to them. This was the case of a 68-year-old heroine who, despite moving to Italy, never turned into an elegant European, remaining a Russian grandmother in lace and guipure.
Several years ago, the son sent the heroine to live in Sardinia. It was the impetus for a new life for a woman aged 50+ who was lucky to meet a new love. But, the happiness, alas, did not last long. Having become a widow, Nina does not lose hope of finding a full-fledged active life, for which she needs to change herself.
The woman is addicted to openwork knitted blouses and blouses with lace and guipure trim. She understands that she looks like a real Russian grandmother, but wants to look like an interesting Italian lady. The task of the stylists of "Fashionable Verdict" was to turn Nina into a respectable and interesting lady, leaving behind the image of a grandmother in an inexpensive knitted blouse.

Your own choice
1. Powder pink dress with burgundy vest
The first outfit was the image that the son picked up for the heroine. He opted for a soft powdery dress with elbow-length sleeves and embroidery, paired with a long burgundy tank top. The image was elegant enough, but somewhat awkward.
The embroidery on the dress is rather redundant here, and the sleeveless jacket itself, which creates the effect of layering, looks like a teacher's. It would be much more interesting to swap the decor, presenting a sleek solid color dress complete with an interesting tank top with embroidery, appliqués or just a bright print.
2. Knitted sweater dress with scarf
The second outfit was completely knitted, cozy autumn-winter. A baggy sweater dress was paired with a burgundy scarf tied over it.
Again, nothing bad on the one hand, but ridiculous and absurd on the other. A similar outfit would be more suitable for a young girl for fashionable autumn-winter photos, if supplemented with a hat and ankle boots. The heroine looks cozy and careless in it, but at home, she lacks clarity and expressiveness of style.
3. Floral print dress
The last image came out the most successful. This dress of a fitted silhouette with a sleeve just below the elbow fits well with the color type of the heroine in its color scheme. This was also seen by Alexander Vasiliev, who noticed that green Nina was very refreshing. The heroine herself said that she had not worn any floral prints for a long time. But they really suit her!
The choice of stylists
The stylists of the program offered the heroine a bright style in which elegance is combined with relaxation, and restraint harmoniously coexists with catchy saturated shades. The straight bob was shortened and a voluminous haircut was made, lightening the warm yellowish blond and making it brighter and cleaner.
1. Smart casual style with pants, shirt and plaid jacket
The first image from the stylists combined efficiency and relaxation, which were expressed in the rigid lines of the set and bright colors. It is very interesting to combine red trousers with a pale blue shirt with a raised collar.
If the trousers were of a different shade, and the shirt collar was not raised, then the plaid jacket would probably look boring. A cylindrical beige bag gives a special zest to the image, which once again pulls it out of excessive formality.
2. Silk printed shirt dress
In the second look, the stylists seemed to have spied on how the heroine was wearing a simple dress with a pattern, but picked up a different print and different material. The model of a shirt dress made of artificial silk enlivens Nina's image and is perfect for a summer wardrobe.
Black earrings somewhat tame the brightness, but emphasize the solemnity of the dress, which can become both a weekend and an everyday option.
3. Violet Pencil Skirt Suit
For the last release, the stylists picked up not a dress for the heroine, but a suit of a very beautiful purple hue. Nina has a good figure, so such a fitted double-breasted jacket and pencil skirt are perfect for her. Monotony and a complex shade in no way make the image gloomy, especially since the color goes to the heroine, without drowning out her appearance.
The accessories are graceful and elegant. The brooch on the lapel of the jacket echoes its shiny buttons. White pointed up-toed shoes and a striped, rigid-design bag bring the monochrome look of Nina, who is delighted with her makeover.
