Hello dear readers! I am sharing a story that happened with one patient. Enjoy reading.
“Recently, difficulties arose when I decided to conduct magnetic resonance imaging in the direction of a neurologist. I would like to note right away that it is legally required to perform an MRI scan under compulsory medical insurance. However, according to some doctors, you can wait a year for your free queue. But this is not about me. How can you get through the MRI procedure much faster?
1. Got a referral
After I had it in my hands (after visiting a neurologist), I jumped to the reception desk to get a ticket, because MRI is supposed to be done free of charge, according to the policy. However, the medical registrar said something like: “Registration is only for a paid examination! And the direction doesn't matter! "
I was disappointed and decided to find out with the insurance company if a coupon for an MRI under the policy is issued, if necessary.
2. I contact the insurance
They explained to me by phone that I have the right to carry out this procedure free of charge. I was also told that I need to go to a therapist with a referral, and he will already put me in the queue.
Three days later (I consider this incredible luck), at an appointment with a therapist, I said everything that the insurance company told me. For some reason, the doctor was very unhappy, took my referral and still brings me into the queue, digging in the computer for a long time. I flew home as if on wings, thinking that they would soon call me and invite me to an MRI.
3. After a month and a half ...
My nerves lost their nerves and I called the insurance company again, where they advised me to find out in my clinic how many MRIs they were expecting on average. Honestly, I wanted to go for a paid procedure, having paid 12,000 rubles. Still, I made the decision to call the clinic.
Once from the 10th I got through and I was stunned by the statement that waiting for an MRI could last for a year. Thus, if a patient has a tumor, it is likely that he will die before his turn.
I called the insurance company again, told about the queue a year long, at the other end of the line they replied in surprise that the maximum waiting time is one month. The employee asked me for information about the clinic and said that she would call me herself.
We conclude:
A few days later, an unknown number calls me. It turned out that the administrator of a paid hospital called and invited me to do the MRI procedure for free. Miracles and more! Apparently the employee from the insurance company applied to a higher authority and from there "flew" to the local clinic. And there they found a place right away, through "theirs". Although it may be guesswork, who knows.
I would like to believe that my story will help in defending the rights to receive treatment and diagnostics for free. Of course, I do not advise you to conflict, because it can aggravate the situation. Act according to the law and competently - and you will succeed! "
I would be grateful for "thumb up👍". Thanks for attention.
P.S. If high blood pressure is observed, it is recommended that you familiarize yourself with a number of rules for its normalization (article "Basic rules of hypertension").
