We have steadfastly wore skinny jeans for decades: more than one generation of skinny has changed during this time in our wardrobes. Today, narrow denim trousers have been replaced by straight and wide-leg models: mom, sleeves, bananas, bell bottoms, jeans with slits on the hips... Despite the resonant changes, skinny has been and remains a favorite for many. But the wrong stylization can ruin the whole image, and there from a style icon to a simpleton is just a stone's throw!
Skinny and pink blouse
About 15 years ago, the notorious "pink blouse" made a lot of noise in the circles of the king of Russian pop music. My example of a combination of skinny and a pink T-shirt just sends us back to the past - this stylization comes from there.
The image looks like a schoolgirl hastily pulled on her jeans and put on the first T-shirt she sees. Despite the brightness of the color, the combination looks boring, and even dangerous for the figure. Skinny jeans and the wrong top length make the silhouette an unattractive rectangle.
Skinny Jeans and Belted Blazer looks
To this option, I also say a categorical no! If in place of the classic blue skinny anthracite or graphite colors, and instead of a blazer - an elongated wide-shouldered jacket borrowed from a men's wardrobe, the image would look extremely stylish. Combined with rough boots, of course! Note that in this case I do not exclude skinny, but only change the color of the denim and suggest choosing them as a pair of more stylish companions.
Prints and ecru
Let me make a reservation right away that ecru color is very fashionable in the new season. But in this image, he clearly does not help: the nondescript trousers, although wider than skinny ones, are remembered only by the folds in the groin area, which you immediately want to cover. A cute blouse with ties is probably the only place on the beach. Sneakers painted in a cheerful print in the style of slippers should also "leave the chat".
I propose to do work on bugs: leave your trousers and put on a voluminous lavender or mint sweatshirt that covers your groin area, and jump into sneakers with massive soles.
Below I show which jeans will fit without harm to the figure, and in combination with what they will look relevant.
We place accents
This is what the formula for a stylish look looks like. It is dominated by straight jeans with an uneven edge and a jacket with a voluminous cut, while mules with heels, a neon bag and glasses with red translucent glasses add bright accents. Hit the top ten!
Playing with length
Note that the cropped top does not turn the silhouette into a rectangle in this case. On the contrary, this styling technique is as relevant as possible: the waistline is too high, and the legs seem infinitely long. This, by the way, is my favorite of the presented ones: the vintage jacket reminds me of the style of the incomparable Grace Kelly (with a modern twist, of course).
70s-inspired look
Relaxed urban style: maxi flared jeans in ecru tone (I told you it looks stylish), bright top with ruffles and flounce at the waist and sandals on a jute platform. All things, though independent by nature, but together they get along well, not turning the image into a "hodgepodge". Plus, with a narrow top and wide bottom, the silhouette looks intelligently modeled.
Brutal chic
Oh, and this outfit I would save for a spectacular evening out. An unbuttoned leather shirt and matching shoes add emphasis to a relaxed and calm outfit. In addition, black goes well with a bag and glasses in juicy summer shades. And light trousers in this case are a stylish base.
I almost forgot to remind you of the fundamental difference between skinny and other denim models: in most cases, they, despite their "factory settings", emphasize imperfect legs, voluminous hips and other prominent parts of the body that you want hide.
Admit it, are you fans of good old skinny, or has your denim wardrobe been overtaken by fashion changes in the new season?
