Rustem Pasha persuades the sovereign to start a war against Shah Tahmasp, and at the same time sends the enemy a letter, allegedly from Shehzade Mustafa, asking him to help overthrow his father from the throne.
Shah Tahmaspa, seeing the genuine seal of the shehzadeh, did not doubt that the shehzadeh himself wrote the letter and replied that he was ready to help. But this letter "with a light hand" of Rustem falls into the hands of the sovereign. Which leads to the execution of Mustafa.
Mihrimah will be tormented by remorse for a long time, but what has been done cannot be undone. She betrayed her paternal brother to save her brothers.
