Hello dear subscribers and guests of the Health underfoot channel!

Oddly enough, but with so many medicines that are provided to us in network pharmacies, from many diseases, the medicine simply does not exist, so we have to fight for our lives and health - yourself.

In today's article, I would like to talk about foods that are not recommended for diabetes.

To completely abandon them or significantly reduce their use, it's up to you, but how my mother-in-law, who has diabetes mellitus, likes to say - you can eat everything, only in a small quantity.

Alcohol

I think everything is clear with this product. Alcohol is contraindicated not only for sick people, but also for healthy people.

And if we consider that now there are practically no good alcoholic drinks on sale, then there is no point in poisoning your body once again.

Sausage

Many types of sausages, as well as smoked meats, are also not recommended for diabetes mellitus.

Well, everything is simple here, most unscrupulous manufacturers make sausage from anything, but not from meat.

Soy and starch are added to it. In addition, many types of sausages have a high fat content, which is especially not recommended for overweight people.

Potatoes

Oddly enough, but a vegetable from the garden also needs to be treated with caution.

Root crops have a lot of polysaccharides and a high starch content, so it is better to soak the tubers in cold water before cooking. The daily norm of potatoes for diabetics is 250 grams per day.

Dried fruits

In this case, too, everything is not unambiguous, and in order to understand which dried fruits are possible and which are not, you need to pay attention to the glycemic index indicators.

Fruits with a high glycemic index: pineapple, bananas, dried apricots, raisins, cherries, avocado, guava, carom and durian.

Fruits with a low glycemic index: orange, apples, prunes, grapefruit, quince, peach, lingonberry, mountain ash, strawberry, cranberry, pear, lemon, pomegranate, plum and raspberry.

Yoghurts and milkshakes

It has long been known that yoghurts and milkshakes contain huge amounts of sugar.

Therefore, if you really want to eat yogurt or drink a milkshake, it is better to cook it yourself. So you know exactly what it includes.

Of course, this is not a complete list of prohibitive foods for diabetics, but only a small part of it.

Therefore, it is very important to take a responsible approach to your diet.
