I want to tell the story of my neighbor, who just got into such a situation. She looked after her sick mother-in-law for a long time, was on very good terms with her, and she promised her that she would definitely not be left without a roof over her head. In general, Katya (this is the name of my neighbor) is not a mercantile person, but she became very upset when, after the death of her mother husband, she found out that she and her family got only a vegetable garden, and the whole main will was written on her daughter mother-in-law.
Katya got married early, at the age of 20. Her fate is very sad, her parents died when she was only 6, and she was brought up in an orphanage. Of course, after the wedding with her husband, Katya simply became attached to her new relatives. Then she had two twin daughters, very similar to her grandmother (husband's mother). The husband still had a younger sister, by the way, she is now 37, she is divorced and is raising a daughter. So after parting with her husband, she managed to sue him for the apartment in which they had previously lived as a family. As for Katya, she and her husband and daughters did not have their own homes, and at first they lived in a three-room apartment with their mother-in-law, and then they thought about a mortgage.
While they were collecting documents, and deciding everything with the acquisition of housing, repairs, they still found time to see their beloved grandmother. She was often visited. I must say that the character of the mother-in-law was peppery, she was always an imperious and demanding woman. When, returning from her garden by bike, she fell and broke her leg, Katya did not even have other thoughts, she volunteered to help her mother-in-law. At first, she just came once a day and changed her mother-in-law's daughter, but then she said that she needed to build her life, and that she needed to look for a nurse for her mother. But there could be no talk of any nurses, because it was very expensive. And to give a loved one into the hands of a stranger is somehow wrong.
Katya quit her job and literally began to live with her mother-in-law. And her daughter appeared only once a month, well, and sometimes, when Katyusha needed to go somewhere on business. Once Katya returned from the parent meeting, and found out that while she was gone, the daughter of her mother-in-law invited a notary, and they successfully drew up a will, having copied almost everything to the daughter of her mother's husband.
I remember how Katyushka roared. I repeat, she is not a mercantile person, but she was so offended that she just helped her "mother" looked after her day and night, quit her job, began to devote less time to her family, and the person is like that with her entered. And I didn't have to wait long, the mother-in-law went out for a month right before our eyes, and then she was gone.
Yes, that's how it happens. But Katya's husband decided not to give up, he demanded to challenge the will, and submitted all the necessary documents to the court. His sister threatens him, because she understands perfectly well that Katya's family will provide in court all the evidence that they were caring for their mother. The lawyer says that everything will work out, but it doesn't make it any easier. Because this is a matter of human relations. How could a mother-in-law do this? After all, even Katya's daughter, instead of going out with friends, spent more time with her sick grandmother. And she did this, bequeathed a three-room apartment to her granddaughter by her daughter, and only a small vegetable garden to her granddaughters after her son ...
