What can you say about kind people? Definitely, everyone believes that kindness makes people gentle, considerate, compassionate, friendly, etc. But no one even has associations with intelligence. Meanwhile, experts say that intelligence is united with compassion and love, just like intelligence. And one does not develop without the other, according to experts.
Misconception about kindness
Often a person's kindness is considered a manifestation of his stupidity and weakness. And many are simply convinced that it is simply impossible to be both smart and good.
There is also an erroneous opinion that a good-natured person is not able to reject the attacks of others, cannot say “no”, always keeps silent in response to criticism. But this is not the case! Kind people have a well-developed empathy, and they perfectly see critics, inadequacies and manipulators. Kind people are great at calculating these, and just stay away from them. And they calmly share their opinion.
Kindness is a sign of intelligence
If you think about kind people from your environment, then you will probably note the openness of their mind and the desire to always learn something new. They are more flexible than others, the kinder a person, the smarter he is!
Someone, probably not very smart, came up with the idea that all smart people are real egoists, and in general are not able to establish a normal emotional connection with others. But scientists have found that this is not always the case. The link between empathy and intelligence is much stronger.
How are kindness and intelligence related? It's amazing, but there is a connection, which has been proven by scientists. They conducted their experiment on fourth-year students using exam results and an empathy scale. And it turns out that there is actually a connection between the two scores of indicators. Which once again proves that the smarter a person is, the kinder.
Pride, rudeness and impoliteness are signs of stupidity
Another experiment of scientists showed that the lower the IQ level of people, the more rude they are with others. They criticize, cannot accept someone else's point of view, are rude, show pride. Rude people are not able to accept that others are not like them. Hence, for example, racism, which says that people are unable to adapt to emerging changes.
If a person calmly accepts everything that happens around him, and is not afraid of changes, this indicates his high level of intelligence. If he is tolerant of others, regardless of their status and behavior, this suggests that he is a kind person.
Meanwhile, studies have shown that people with too high IQ levels still have some negative qualities. For example, many of them are narcissistic and arrogant. Therefore, it is important not just to be smart and kind, but to be interconnected. Namely, you need to have a high level of emotional intelligence.
Surprisingly, many resumes now add a column: emotional intelligence. But the "ability to be a team player" and "the ability to work under stressful conditions" our world has already outgrown. Now, it is emotional intelligence that will be considered one of the most necessary qualities for personnel in any company, as many employers have stated.
For reference: Emotional intelligence is a person's ability to recognize their own and others' emotions, intentions, motivations, as well as the ability to manage both your own emotions and those of others to achieve goals and decisions tasks.
And this is a mixture of kindness and intelligence, isn't it?
