But for reliable forecasting more important than the presence / absence of gene mutations BRCA1 and BRCA2.
In the above study, 267 subjects were found BRCA-mutation. And only 18% of them were aware of this before the start of the experiment. Later in 16.8% of these 267 people have been identified BRCA-associated cancer. And some of it was not possible to save the patient. The cause of their death was not diagnosed in time to oncology.
But knowing in advance about the BRCA-mutation, it is possible to apply proven tools and surveys to identify the early stages of malignant neoplasms. These same tools can be used for cancer prevention, reducing the mortality from cancer. Experts are convinced that genetic screening should come in every hospital and clinic to fight cancer at those stages of the disease, when such a struggle the most effective. But as long as people only "hear something", if not do not know anything about the genetic methods of examination, mass defeat dangerous tumor is very difficult, almost impossible.
