Vaccination against COVID-19 is in full swing. How to prepare for vaccination to avoid complications? What tests do I need to pass? Therapist tells
1. Checking your chronic illness
If you suffer from any chronic disease, for example, diabetes mellitus, it is necessary to check before vaccination in what state it is - in the stage of exacerbation or remission. If it has worsened, it is better to postpone vaccination and wait for remission. For example, in the case of diabetes mellitus, it is important that during vaccination, this disease is in the stage of compensation, that is, the level of glycated hemoglobin should not exceed 7%.
2. We do a general blood test
It will show, for example, whether some latent inflammatory process is taking place in the body, whether some kind of virus "sits" in you, whether a person suffers from anemia.

3. We maintain quarantine before and after vaccination
Ideally, based on the incubation period of the coronavirus, during the week before vaccination, minimize contact with other people. After it, it is also better to self-isolate within 2-3 days.
4. Checking antibodies
Many were asymptomatic or symptomatic with coronavirus, but did not get the test. Therefore, before vaccination, you can do an analysis for antibodies and check if you have them. If there are many of them, then there is no point in vaccination.
