The Ministry of Education explained what will happen to the tenth and eleventh grades of schools in Ukraine.
Recently, information has begun to spread on social networks that allegedly students in 2021 will not be enrolled in grade 10 after the completion of the ninth grade.
But in the Ministry of Education and Science stressedthat no 9th grade graduate will be deprived of the right to complete secondary education.
What caused the confusion?
The thing is that the educational system is gradually being improved in Ukraine, and local authorities local governments have given the task of preparing cities and towns for the emergence of a specialized education.
Within the framework of the same reform, the Ukrainian school will be divided into three divisions:- Primary schools (grades 1-4),
- Gymnasiums (grades 5-9),
- Lyceums (grades 10-12).
The idea is that in lyceums children will not only continue to study the school curriculum, but also master some specialty. In lyceums, they will have greater access to laboratories and other equipment.
