Children get bored of answering "how are you?" and "how was your day?" To get them to talk, you need to be creative in how to ask.

By asking non-standard questions, you teach children to ask atypical questions themselves, to look for atypical answers. In order for the child to answer you with pleasure, you need to be able to ask correctly. Here are some questions to help you with this.

For little ones:

Questions can be difficult for a child, the wording is important here, which each individual child will understand. Let your child think or not answer at all - this is not an interrogation, but the establishment of a relationship of trust. Don't be afraid to answer "don't know". Over time, the right answer will be found.
