You need time to sleep, go to the salon, see the doctor, walk alone, go to the store without a stroller, after all. And if you constantly neglect your needs, then this will reflect badly on you and the child. Being a mom is hard, just take it for granted. Even a supermom needs help sometimes, and that's okay.

2. Ability to prioritize

And here everything is not as obvious as it seems. Not always the first place should be only that concerns the child. For example, it is much better to lie with your child on the rug and fool around than to cook three types of puree for complementary foods with your own hands.

Relax with your child (or without - if you have already learned how to ask for help), and buy mashed potatoes in the store. They will not harm your baby's health and will not make you a bad mom. The same goes for cleaning, ironing or walking.

This is not always necessary if you do not have the strength or capabilities. And nothing wrong with that. The main thing is that your own needs do not remain constantly in the background in the unimportant section.

3. Team management

In this case, the team is everyone who somehow helps you with your child: his father, grandparents, friends, etc. Treat managing their actions like work: a minimum of emotion and criticism, a maximum of clear instructions and trust.

As in work, there is no need to track every step, recheck or redo it - otherwise the team will never learn anything. But ask them to report that everything worked out when your instructions are implemented.

4. Ability to negotiate

By the time the child is three years old, mothers turn into experienced negotiators, because from the age of one and a half, the child begins to defend his opinion especially zealously, his "want" and "do not want". And it's not as easy to negotiate with him as with an adult.

The opponent is usually categorical, and your task is to prevent the use of his main weapon - hysteria, but if it does start, stop it as quickly and diplomatically as possible. Learn to negotiate with a three-year-old - and you won't be able to negotiate with adults.

5. Emotional intellect

With a half-look, mothers can recognize not only the current emotional state of the child, but also the emotion that is about to be born, as well as to understand the emotions of the surrounding children, to predict from the actions and moods, to assess the condition of the husband both in words and silence.

Mom's entire day is busy with emotions - and recognition, understanding, management of them becomes an everyday norm. But this is how emotional intelligence is pumped.
