You can use plugs for all free outlets in the house - but this, alas, is not enough.
To prevent your child from getting injured, burned and start a fire, it is enough to remember about simple but important rules.
1. Periodically check the serviceability of sockets and electrical appliances
Anything that sparks or overheats must be replaced with a serviceable appliance.
2. Do not leave hot items in the outlet
This applies to irons, curling irons, hair straighteners. And in general, it is better to turn off any unused equipment immediately.
3. Do not use tees and extension cords
They greatly increase the risk of fire.
4. Unplug the charger
Charging gadgets can overheat and provoke a fire; they are not designed to stay in the outlet around the clock.
If you have children under 3 years old:
1. All sockets must have plugs. Children are very fond of trying to connect something to the network on their own.
2. All electrical appliances must be strictly out of the reach of the child. Including daddy's electric shaver, mom's iron and epilator, iron, blender, etc.If you have children 3-5 years old:
1. Conduct regular conversations about the dangers of electricity and about how to behave with outlets and appliances. Together watch cartoons about this (and discuss), read instructive books, just remind, act out situations with toys.
2. Tell us about the incompatibility between water and electricity. The more you act on the warning, the fewer mistakes the child will make.
If you have children 5-7 years old:
1. You can't leave them alone, much less look after the younger ones. Although the child has grown up and is ready to take on some responsibility, he cannot fully ensure safety. Handling electrical appliances at this age still needs to be strictly supervised by adults.
2. Explain the dangers that toys that use electricity can pose if mishandled. Remember to regularly remind the safety rules, children easily forget them.
If you have children 8-11 years old:
1. Teach them to use the technique correctly. Have them turn on and use the appliances in your presence to get the hang of it.
2. Tell us about the safety precautions when handling each type of equipment: what should not be put in the microwave, what should not be dried with a hairdryer or poured into a kettle, etc.3. It will not be superfluous to remind you of the dangers of electricity outside the house: do not pick up any wires, including those that lie on the ground, in no case climb onto the roofs of trains and other electric transport.
