The Ministry of Education and Science wants to change the format of external independent testing.
VNO will remain, it is not planned to be canceled, but it can be held in a specific form, said Sergei Shkarlet, head of the ministry. According to him, the point is not to make UPE an exclusive element of admission.
UPE is a tool for assessing the quality of knowledge obtained through an educational program. Communicating with employers, I realized that they need graduates who have certain skills, the UPE in this case does not matter.
According to Shkarlet, there is a proposal to conduct UPE in the form of a test for learning ability for people who have insurance experience:
- if they come not to the budget, but to the contract.
If a person studies on a paid basis, on a contract, he can take the EIT as a test.At the same time, external testing will remain mandatory for school graduates.
