Laptop for school student 2020

A computer is an irreplaceable thing for a student. But it makes no sense to buy too expensive. How to choose a good one, but budget one?

Everyone needs a separate computer schoolboy - this is his "own corner" in the modern sense, an assistant in learning and communication. It is especially necessary when schoolchildren once again go to distance learning during a pandemic.

In addition, a laptop dedicated specifically to a child will allow parents not to worry about the safety of their files if a virus suddenly gets on the computer.

A laptop is more convenient than a stationary computer - it is easy to move it to a convenient place, it is compact, and it is easier to choose one laptop than to “assemble” a computer in parts.

A too expensive device is useless for a student - it becomes outdated in 4-5 years, but at the same time a notebook should be productive. What to look for when choosing?

1. Screen diagonal

Here you need a middle ground - so that the laptop is not too bulky and at the same time suitable for long reading and work. These are usually 15-inch screens.

2. Screen resolution

By modern standards, the optimal resolution is 1920 × 1080. This parameter is especially important if the child works with images and videos a lot.

3. HDD

In order for the laptop to work really quickly and not freeze, it is better to choose a device with an SSD drive (it is more modern and productive), rather than an HDD.

4. Mobility

If your student will often use a computer outside the home, you should pay attention to ultrabooks - thinner and lighter models. Many of them are not inferior in performance to conventional ones.

It is important to remember that laptops do not "upgrade" well - that is, after a few years you simply need a new device that will meet the new needs of the child. Accordingly, buying a laptop that is too expensive is not worth it. For children in the first few grades, a tablet is completely suitable.
