According to the Center for Public Health, in the last week alone in Ukraine, about 200 thousand people fell ill with influenza and SARS.

"Snidanok z 1 + 1" during the entire epidemic period followed the course of the epidemic in the country and gave advice to Ukrainians on how to maintain their health. And this time together with the permanent expert of "Snidanku z 1 + 1" - nutritionist Natalia Samoilenko, on the air of the morning show figured out how to eat right and what drinks are best to drink during an illness in order to support your immune system.

As many Ukrainians know, chicken broth, onions, garlic and raspberry tea help during illness. Together with the presenter Nelya Shovkoplyas, nutritionist Natalia Samoilenko spoke about their beneficial properties.

According to Natalia Samoilenko, broth is really useful to use during illness. After all, it contains many amino acids that play an important role in the construction of immune cells. In addition, it is easily absorbed, giving the strength and energy the body needs to fight the disease.

Onion and garlic

As it turned out, the medicinal properties of onions and garlic are not a myth at all.

“Onions and garlic are super foods.

They contain a lot of phytoncides - biologically active substances that have an antiviral effect. They are really effective in the fight against the flu. They can be eaten or simply cut into pieces and placed in the room. Also, the ginger root should be added to this list, ”the doctor comments.

Raspberry tea

As Samoylenko explains, raspberry tea also helps the body to recover.

Especially if you brew tea with berries frozen in the refrigerator, without sugar.

Warm drinks digest very quickly. And raspberries also contain a lot of vitamin C and salicylic acid - just like natural aspirin. Raspberry tea has anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects, vitamins that strengthen the immune system,

In addition to raspberry tea, you can also drink rosehip decoction, herbal teas with linden and mint. On the advice of an expert, during illness, you need to take a lot of warm drinks - almost three times more than a person's usual drinking regime.

How to choose a diet during illness

Nutritionist has selected a special menu for all Ukrainians.

According to her, during illness, you should eat only food that is easy to digest, rich in vitamins and fiber. Such food stimulates the assimilation of "good bacteria" - prebiotics.

Breakfast. In the morning, it is better to eat carbohydrates with more fiber. For example, it can be buckwheat and boiled beets.

Dinner. For the next meal, you can make soup or borscht, and add protein.

Dinner should be light. These can be cooked vegetables and boiled eggs.

And between all meals we drink a lot of warm drinks - herbal teas, raspberries or rosehip decoction. And children can be given compote or uzvar. It will speed up your recovery

At the same time, you should refrain from eating heavy and fried foods (sausage, canned food, sausages, cutlets and meat).
