Why did scientists forbid pregnant women to drink tea and coffee?

It has been proven that women who consume caffeine (with tea or coffee) give birth to babies that are underweight.
The corresponding conclusions were made by scientists from the University of Dublin.
Even if a woman consumed less than 200 milligrams of caffeine (this amount is considered safe in the United States), the risk of unwanted effects increased.Researchers have proven that there are several risks:
- Premature birth,
- Childbirth with a reduced weight.
For every additional 100 milligrams of caffeine consumed per day in the first trimester of pregnancy, the child's weight by 72 grams and reduced the period of intrauterine development by several hours, they consider researchers.
Women who consumed a lot of caffeine gave birth to children whose weight was, on average, 170 grams less than the children of women who decided to quit caffeine during gestation. The link between caffeine and fetal development is likely to be related to reduced blood flow to the placenta. Expectant mothers should also remember that caffeine accumulates quickly in the body and is excreted slowly.
One 355 ml cup of coffee contains 200 milligrams of caffeine, which is the maximum allowable dose.
