Rhesus conflict threatens couples, who have a Rh negative mother and a Rh positive father, doctors say.

If there is a conflict on the Rh factor, premature birth, jaundice in newborns, fetal anemia, edema, an increase in heart weight and damage to internal organs may threaten.

Such a pregnancy is sometimes combined with a thickening of the placenta, sometimes doctors record the accumulation of fluid in the peritoneum, as well as an increase in the liver and spleen.

Unfortunately, in severe cases, damage to the internal organs of the fetus and the central nervous system of the child is possible, which leads to a miscarriage.

The first hours after birth are very important for such a child, as doctors often have to deal with serious complications.

However, prevention of pathologies is real, prevention will help. If there is a Rh-conflict, then the mother is prescribed immunoglobulin injections according to the schedule. In some cases, you have to donate blood for analysis every week, and after the 20th week, an intrauterine transfusion is done.
