The Indian strain of the Delta coronavirus is spreading more and more across Ukraine. The Ministry of Health named its main symptoms. Some of them are not typical for the "old" strains of COVID-19
In the Ternopil region there was an outbreak of the Indian strain "Delta". He was found immediately in 52 people. In other regions, according to Evgeny Komarovsky, there may also be an increase in the incidence. Next in line, according to the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Medical Issues Mikhail Radutsky, are Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Khmelnytsky, Zaporozhye and Transcarpathian regions.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health spoke about how Delta differs from its predecessors.
It is characterized by:
temperature,
headache,
a sore throat,
runny nose.
But coughing and loss of smell are much less common.
The ministry also reports more serious symptoms. Among them:
- hearing impairment
- gastrointestinal problems;
- the formation of blood clots, which leads to tissue death and gangrene.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health warned that the likelihood of a severe course of the disease in case of infection with "Delta" is much higher. And this is the main difference between the Indian strain and its predecessors.
