If your makeup consists not only of painted eyelashes and lips, then you will not be indifferent to the choice of convenient brushes. Because the task is no easier than choosing a tonal basis or solving a differential equation.

There is no universal and multifunctional brush that you have to blindly acquire on the advice of a beauty blogger. Take a closer look - you can, buy without hesitation - I do not advise, you can be very disappointed. In today's article I will try to guide you a little on the question of which makeup brushes are right for you. The final word in choosing a particular brush is definitely yours.

Where to start choosing brushes

We are advanced girls, let's start with a serious parameter - pile. I'll tell you what it is, and why natural pile is not always better than artificial one.

Everyone knows that there is a pile in brushes natural and synthetic.

There are several types of synthetic pile. there is taklonthat imitates natural pile, and corn and nylon. The latter is smooth, and due to this property, it gives as much product to the skin as it picks up, suitable for creamy textures.

When choosing brushes with synthetic bristles, keep in mind that they work worse with pressed textures (unlike natural pile), because they gain a lot of product, because of which you can put a stain on your face, so be careful.

Artificial bristle brushes can work with creamy and dry textures, but keep in mind that shading works better and cleaner with natural bristle brushes.

Natural pile is made exclusively from animal hair. Squirrel bristle brushes are very delicate, with fine hairs, they are good at shading the product. But now they are practically not produced, because for production they take pile from inanimate proteins. But goat hair is taken from a live goat, the animal does not suffer at the same time, brushes can be freely purchased.

Compared to squirrel hair, goat hair is thicker and denser. An important role is played from which part of the goat's body this pile was taken. But I'm afraid that it is unlikely that someone from the sellers will answer this question.

If you have ever seen a goat, then you know that it has long hair, and the entire length of the hair is not always needed on the brush, for example, for the eyes. Therefore, the goat hair is divided into three parts (as a result, the goat hair for brushes is divided into three types):

1) first grade (the most expensive) - this is when the brush has a natural tip of the hair, they are expensive, but they will also serve you with proper care for 15 years, or even more.

2) second grade cut on both sides to make a blending brush from such a pile; after assembly, the pile is manually cut with a blade. When cutting it, the master may miss some hairs, and in the finished brush "hemp" remains, which prickly when you paint. Brushes made from such a pile are cheaper, but they will also last less, with proper care, for 3-4 years. This is because the cut end begins to crack over time, in contrast to the nap with a natural tip.

3) third grade - the cheapest, found in budget brushes. Since the bottom of the hair is thicker, the brush is stiff. They are more difficult to extinguish, prickly when applied and are short-lived.

There are brushes that take the full length of a hair, but they stand like a cast iron bridge.

Natural bristles (like our hair) have scales, the product seems to get into them and is gradually given to the face.

Airy or dense brush

In addition to the pile, the brushes also differ in different packing density, be sure to pay attention to this item when choosing. While thickly packed brushes are great for creamy textures, light and airy brushes are more difficult to apply creamy textures. The tighter the brush is, the tighter it will apply the product.

How to distinguish between thick and airy brush? The pile on a dense brush is more difficult to bend, and it is almost impossible to push it apart. The air pile bends and spreads well.

Brush size

Always pay attention to the brush size in relation to your face or eyes when choosing an eyeshadow brush. Too small brushes will make it harder for you to apply makeup, and too large to make quality makeup more difficult.

Which brushes to choose for tone, bronzer, sculptor and blush

I do not recommend using flat artificial brush-blades for applying tone! They strip terribly, and in order to apply a high-quality tone, you need to try very hard. If there are any in your arsenal, throw it away without regret.

Below I will also show a few examples of brush shapes with a description of the pile, and for which product they are suitable. And you already decide for yourself whether it will be convenient to use such. After all, the guarantee of a beautiful make-up depends on 70% of brushes.

Simply put, you don't have to buy a different brush for each product. You can save some money by buying one or two brushes and using them for a complete makeup. I do not recommend buying a set of brushes unless you are a makeup artist. From the entire set, you will use only a couple of brushes, the rest will gather dust because they are not needed or simply will not suit you.
